need help finding HID conversion
well one of my crap *** piaa "xtreme whites" already burnt out after 3 months so Ive decided to switch over to HIDs since its gonna cost 100$ for replacement bulbs so might as well spend 400$ for HIDs which last twice as long. Anyways...I know a little about HIDs. I know that I want to get the stage 2/6000K ones but i dont know what brand to buy...? I dont want some cheap *** no name brand, but if theres a 350$ kit that performes exactly the same as a 600$ kit id rather get the cheaper one if i wont notice a difference.
also i saw on ebay someone selling some 8000k and 10000k kits? It that a load of crap? I thought they only went up to 7k?
and finally...if anyone can hook a girl up with some pictures showing what any specific kits look like, id appreciate it a lot. i dont want them too look all ricey like those cheap blue headlights, but i do want them to stand out as HIDs, if that makes sense, urg....just basically i dont want them to be pure white.
cliff notes: need good brands, good places to buy, and pictures.
thanks

d2r is for cars that doesn't come with hid, it has an extra shield to shield some of th light so it won't glare on comming traffic. retro fitting, i guess you can say.
d2s are for car that have projectors, or just replace blown bulbs

Ok heres the deal, the more likey the bluer the bulb is going to be, however it will also be alot dimmer than the lower watage bulbs. 7000k hids are the ones on s2000's and bmw x5's ther epositions at about 15-20 degrees to give that nice blue look. the 4000k are extreamly white and extreamly BRIGHT they put out about 3600 lumens which is more than the 7000k, however they dont quite have the same look. the 7000k puts out about 3000 lumens and anything above just gets lower i know the 7500 only puts out about 2800 but there are bluer than the x5 hdealights, which is still double your stock hologen bulbs.

Is the current HID conversion more reliable now? I know just about a year ago or so, doing an HID conversion is not quite worth the money because of crappy technology.
Are the current HID conversions something more comparable to stock BMW or Acura HID?
