n the point of coloring them was for looks right? not to make your car faster. in your definition, that would be considered rice cause coloring them doesnt produce any gains but merely makes the hood a little more appealing.
n i never said hyperwhites and HIDs do the exact same thing, i was saying they both brighten up the road. point being, hyperwhites are only as "dangerous" as HIDs.
n no i havnt had any other car then a civic. but then again i'm only 18, its my first car, and i already paid it off in full. do i talk ****, saying my cars fast? never.. i dont even plan on racing with this car. i'm just saying, you talk alot of **** for someone who probably cant even beat a stock rsx(n i dont mean with a granny as the driver). yes you HAD a fast car, but you dont no more.. your cars probably .1 second faster then mine, big f**kin deal..
you say hyperwhite lights are being inconsiderate? you gotta stop being a lil bitch and quit bitching about how hyperwhites blind you. driving 90mph is considered being inconsiderate. i'm sure people driving 90mph have caused much more accidents then people driving with hyperwhite lights.
oh n you know what HID stands for... very impressive

btw you might wanna rethink the whole granny thing. i got smoked by a granny (yes, wrinkles and all) in a green muscle car that 10s and ran a good portion of the track on 2 wheels (she did not have a wheelie bar).
edit: you might think your rice lights are so much greater than stock, but they arent. it is just a different color of light, which is why you think so. my friend has a set of hyperwhite bulbs in his 626 and while he believes they look cool (hes a show car kinda guy) he always tells me about how horrible they are...especially in the rain.
you asked how they are different from rice lights. any idiot can tell you why.
rice lights may seem brighter, but at what cost? only being able to see 5 yds in front of you? that is a detrement when compared to stock.

nah the cool blues aint that bad in the rain. i got em and i also have those headlight covers, and i can still see fine in the rain, i live near seattle too. the wattage is same as stock too so they're safe, unlike the hyperwhites of some other companys which will eventually burn out your harness.

maybe you misunderstood... how are hyperwhites anymore dangerous then HIDs?
how are hyperwhites considered rice and HIDs not?
to you anything that doesnt produce gains is considered rice right? HIDs dont produce gains, so why arent HIDs considered rice to you? and how come your painted washer nozzles arent considered rice either?
you say hyperwhite lights are rice. yes it doesnt produce gains but imo, it makes the car look a little better compared to your stock yellow lights. maybe you think your yellow lights look better but hey different people like different things. just cause its not something you like, doesnt mean its considered rice. i've always said theres people for show and theres people for go.. your obviously for go, n with this car i'm for show. does that mean i dislike or think people who want to make their car fast stoopid, no. my whole point in this was basically to say, it isnt all about 'go' there people in it for show, show some respect for those that want to make their car look a little better

I don't know the brightness in hyperwhites but I do know them in PIAA Xtreme Whites, and they aren't bright for shyt which makes them more dangerous. In many instances for example... on a deserted freeway at night, I had to put on my high beams... then they worked fine. I took them out and put the Sylvannia's back in. They look stock looking at the car, but that's what I want.

a) they decrease visability over stock bulbs.
b) they blind drivers. yes hid headlights do too (sometimes, since they are almost all the time calibrated correctly, and also peripheral light is decreased)...but mercedes realized this and made the actual headlight cover so it isnt clear (opaque).
in this case, you get what you pay for. $15 cheapo ricelights or $4-500 true hid kits. the thing is hid kits actually improve visability. ricelights do not. im done here. if you still dont understand, kill yourself.
ricers...poor in the mind or poor in the pocket (or both).
