CAI or Short Ram ?
hi all, people have been telling me CAI for my 2k1 civic dx auto wont fit. Is this true? if so do you think short ram would be worth it with my auto tranny, and which ones would you recommend?
- Next time, you need to search! Two big companies make CAI for the 2k1 civic: AEM and Injen. The AEM CAI WILL NOT fit, but the Injen CAI will. AEM claims that with an automatic transmission, its SRI actually made more gains then the CAI. Whatever. With a short ram intake, you're not likely to see any gains at all, but they do have a cool ricey sound and look nice under the hood. My advice: Go with an Injen SRI if you're worried about driving in deep puddles, or go with the Injen CAI for some real gains. SEARCH. This topic has been beaten to death.

I agree with SilverStreak. I had a CAI up until today when I put in my FIPK. Trust me, get in on the group buy price in the "Group Buy" forum. It's a really sweet deal for what seems to be the best intake for the 7th gen.
