Intake Question

What is the best intake out for an LX manual trans coupe for the money. Is it the AEM or Injen or is no name $80 just as good.

They're all the same. Get whatever you can afford and don't expect amazing results.

if you're going to spend a lot..

go with K&N's FIPK, $172 plus shipping, find info on it at the groupbuy forum

they're all the same.

I recommend staying stock, and save money and just get the K&N drop in filter.

but if u really want the sound from an aftermarket intake, I think the K&N FIPK is the best function over fashion design, and the most practical one.

I've owned InJen SRI, and AEM CAI replica, both of which sounds cool, but I lose my low-end, and top speed. and the gains in SRI weren't even there.. and the CAI, I duno, it felt okay at higher rpm ranges.

just search in the forum, you can dig up lots of information and opinions.

Whatever you do, do not get the "generic" ones...99.9% of the time they will not fit right.
