Just curious, do you think you need a bigger fuel rail?

i was wondering if this would work:

1. get an afc
2. get larger injectors
3. lean out the car to trick ecu into dumping more fuel to compensate.

would it work?

see, ive been thinking about things like this also...

i cant seem to figure out why the returnless fuel system is so hard to work with......in theory if you had a bigger pump, and bigger injectors, and some means of controlling the fuel flow, maybe somekind of piggyback computer, then what would keep you from being able to make big HP?

You probably could if you added other mods so the engine could take advantage of the better fuel flow. Heads, cam, pistons, etc, etc. Then you might need stronger internals to be able to handle the added power, plus an improved drive train to put it to the ground.

unless you have a turbo or have interior work done you dont need a fuel rail....fuel rail = waste of $$$

not necessarily...
if you install the AEM fuel rail, accompanied by upgrade injectors, or blue-printed injectors at the least, and maybe even a better fuel pump, i believe that this would compliment the basic I/H/E quite nicely. however, it is true that you will burn MORE FUEL this way, unlike OEM specs. but you will see an increase in HP, but it may not be too significant for the cost.

The fuel rail would be nice if you want to run n2o, it has a nitrous port...

They are not universal due to the mounting studs, they are in different locations on different blocks.
