Performance module?
Anyone interested in this thing??
Ive never used it before but im very curious and willing to spend a lil bit of money to get a lil bit of gain in our slow vic's. I have experience with the actual chips themselves the ones that require soldering and ive been more than satisfied with 2 that ive installed.
Any way let me know if anyone is interested.
I talked with the guy and he says he will give me a group buy.
Heres the ebay link to what it "does" performance module

Also i asked him if he was sure if it would work with the 7thgens and he gave me this
"Are you familiar with the SLP AT module? The gbox is a module very similar
to that, it's kind of a middle of the road, between the SLP/RKSport and the
Venom 400. The module actually splices either between the pcm & iat, or pcm
& maf, in your case pcm & iat. There is no soldering because those wires are
16 - 20 guage wires, it is very simple to get a nice clean "twist" when you
splice them, then just cover with matching heat shrink and no one ever even
knows your were there. And I would expect that you would want to test one
yourself ahead of time before placing a large order, so that is not a
problem. Your price is going to end up in the 25 dollar range. Get back to
me when you get the chance."

I'm skeptical about this product also. They mention it modifies the fuel curve, but what is this extra fuel supposed to do? There isn't more air, so there isn't gonna be more power. Now, if it modified the ignition timing, it would produce more power and thats why the jet chip requires premium fuel. I'd be pretty leery about buying this. Although, for $40 its a cheap gamble, but that may be their marketing skam. I'm not gonna buy it. I'd want to see an independant shop do a dyno comparo of it anyway... $.02
