Varad Underbody LEDs

Does anyone have these? I saw an ad for them in my Mobile Entertainment magazine. They seem pretty cool, especially since they have features like Strobe, Scanning and Music Reactor. Also mainly because I think they would be less prone to breakage compared to neon tubes.

Just wondering what you guys think compared to neons. Please do not post saying you think the idea of underbody lights is stupid/ugly/rice, cause that's not what I'm asking.

if you're into that sort of thing, yeah, i think it would be cooler to have a scanning light under the car instead of a plain and boring neon tube.

Don't know if moving lights under the car are completely legal, but yah, I agree with you that LEDs would be more durable than neon tubes (and possibly brighter and lower profile). For show, you'll probably nab some brownie points for not having just "normal" neons under the car.

I totally didnt consider the Legality of it. But arent underbody neons in general illegal. So if I'd prolly get busted either way. Don't really know if I'd drive with them scanning, but mebbe if my car is parked. Would be nice if I could hook it up to an alarm, no when I activate/deactivate, the LEDs flash too. Wow...damn, I sound like I'm really entertaining the idea. Defintely worth more consideration then.

P.S.: Yay, my 200th Post! =)

i like that. i would consider the legality issue as well, altho i dont know what would make them illegal, or neons for that matter. i can see an issue if theyre blue or red cause apparently theres some police impersonation aspects to those colors, but how many cruisers have you seen with underglow???

it never hurts to check with the local authorities tho.

and im sure these things dont just scan, i think you can make them just glow and be just like a regular neon light. its just cooler when it scans. got that whole knight rider thing goin with it. LOL

This is the first time I've seen the varad underbody LEDs. Looks pretty cool, and would definitely be much better than regular neons. Those things break too damn easy. And like someone else said, you'd prolly score a few extra points for not just having the usual neon kit. It looks like there are more possibilities for the LEDs. Not to mention they'll be much brighter. And they can't be THAT obvious when you look under the car. So if a cop stops you, just turn them off and convince him that he must have been seeing things. He'll probably never be able to find em even if he does look under the car.

Well, I would prolly consider blue as the color I would get, so mebbe I should ask QuickSilver. And yeah, the "all on" position is defintely there like regular neons. My bad, I didnt mention them...was just telling about the extra features. Damn, with all you people supporting...I just want them even more now. HAhAH...I need MONEY!!

From THIS site, it's either $170 or $270 depending on the color. Naturally the colors I would consider (white & blue) both fall under the $270 price tag...damn. This site also says they'll beat any other price you show them...although I'm sure eBay doesnt count. Price Guarantee

When I first saw these, I also searched eBay. I found a Blue set there for only $190 EBay Auction

Either way, it's more expensive than Neons, but I think they're a lot cooler and with more features.
