the octane kit comes in both fiberglass and urathane. Urathane would not break, but fiberglass is cheaper. I don't know how well it fits.
i have a urethan octane kit from aerotrends. didn't hear of any fitment complaints from the body shop. i paid $815 for the kit (not too bad for urethane full body kit). wasn't too interested in fiberglass, considering where i live. keep in mind that the kit does not come with grille inserts. i recomend buying some to protect your radiator and a/c (crazy flukes do happen ocassionally). also, the front bumper replaces the upper grille frame, too. the rear bumper inpact foam must also be cut (so you can't see it through the rear bumper vents). check out the pictures on aerotrends.com to see what i mean.
Snakes,
Now that you have the Octane body kit on, do you notice any problem areas with the front bumper? I'm considering purchasing the urethane front bumper and want to know if there's anything I should be aware of before bringing it to the shop (i.e. need to improve the mounting brackets, additional sanding, trimming, etc.)?
Any advice you have would be helpful because I don't want to spend over $400 and end up with something that will just never really look good.
Thank you,
Terry

the body shop added additional brackets to the side skirts. they also were able to place the "skid plate" from the stock bumper onto the octane front bumper (with a little fabrication). other than the impact foam and grille inserts that i mentioned already, that's about all they did in addition to the standard installation.
i see people saying things like urethane octane kits don't fit well, but i think they are talking about other companies (i got mine from aerotrends.com); my kit fit great, was a pretty good price, and, best of all, looks incredible (IMO). i love this kit. and it really compliments my vis racing invader style carbon fiber hood and oem wing. i just need to work on getting good wheels now. if you want any pics just e-mail me. i would be more than happy to take pictures from all the angles (may give you a better idea of exactly what aerotrends' kit looks like exactly).
