Rep Power: 0 Ask yourself the question
An exhaust will give out max 5hp if your lucky, and how much are catbacks running forr? im pretty sure its higher then 89 bucks
If that thing did work im pretty sure 99.9 percent of the population on this board would have of bought this the very first day it came out

Rep Power: 0 I know that they work in general. Don't think that they would work too efficiently with our cars.

Rep Power: 0 Hmmmm well summitracing is a reputable company though.... I wouldn't see them selling something that doesn't have value in one way or another. Just don't expect 20 hp out of it, maybe 5 if you are lucky......

Rep Power: 0 i was going to get this and researched it, but decided against it cause it wont fit with my intake. it does help your engine breathe more air, good for a little hp, and also produces a whining sound at high rpms. you have to have at least a one inch gap between the highest part of your intake and the underside of your hood for it to fit. if you get this, dont use a paper gasket, use the silicone high temp gasket maker stuff. otherwise the paper gasket can get sucked into the tb causing problems. hope this helps.

Rep Power: 0 how does it help the engine breathe more air? it can only get as much as can go through the throttle body at any given time...the only way i can think of is if you modify the plate and turn it into a nitrous fogger system...which would be an idea you could work with...

Rep Power: 0 not really sure why everyone is sittin here knocking this product. yes, 20 hp is a little exagerated, but i wouldnt doubt that it produces some decent hp. for the price, it cant hurt to buy it, try it, and if you're not happy with it, then sell it to someone on the site. as for people on this site sayin that it wont fit? you people are lame for opening your mouth without even knowing what your talking about... if you tried to put this under your hood, it might be a tite fit, however it will fit. people here are soo quick to reply with negative, ignorant replies...

Rep Power: 0 the 20 hp reference is directed towards the trucks and jeeps which by the way, this is a typical mod for them. the spacer has grooves inside it kind of like a screw, which create a vortex or something to that effect which sucks in more air. thats the best i know of to explain it. i know people who have installed this on trucks and jeeps, but i don't know of any that have put this on a smaller car. and yes it does make a difference.

Rep Power: 0 The Vortec is cheaper, it's also a helix gizmo, and it doesn't do anything either. Some of this stuff might work if your car has some serious engineering defects in the intake design, but our cars don't so they are a waste of money.

Rep Power: 0 a FAN cannot "suck in more air". Think about what happens when you put your hand on a hairdryer.
Superchargers and turbochargers compress air thereby increasing it's density. Increase in density = increase in massflow = increase in POWER.
All these fan/electric supercharger/vortex gadgets simply DO NOT work.
