Rep Power: 0 CP Cold Air Intake Installed
Finally installed the CP (cheapee) Cold Air Intake ....
Damn, don't buy this ish unless you want to spend time augmenting your intake components. The top tubing didn't fit right until I chopped about 1/2 and inch from the silicon tube holding the metal intake tube to the throttle body. The included air sensor grommet was too big so I used the stock grommet.... thank heavan it fit.
The top tube mounted to the engine fine.... but the lower tube didn't mount to the included transmission bracket. the Mount point on the intake tubing was some 2 to 3" BELOW the bracket!!!! HAahahahaha!! What kinda wacked-out coon-skin Cheap Intake is that?!.......
Oh well.... mounted the transmission line to the bracket.... then had clearance problems with the new K&N filter and it hitting the damn engine.... Believe in the saying, "You get what you pay for."
Still didn't give up and augmented the lower silicone hoses to give the K&N enough room to fit.
After 3 hours..... all is well and a Cold Air Intake is dope ******... but learn from me... get the name brand.

lol.
but glad you got it to fit. at least it works.
its subjective... spend 3 hours and you save what? 50-70 bucks.
I'm still surprised that they come with a transmission bracket.

Rep Power: 0 Yeah, I had a cheepo off e-bay. went together like a$$ and a weld broke TWICE on the thing. What a waste of time and money. I ended up buying an Injen SRI and I am totally happy with it

Rep Power: 504 Why the hell would a company make a product for our cars that doesn't fit and market it as such? That's like selling food that isn't really food or something.
