Sylvania 9003 XV, CB, or ST headlight bulbs?
Sylvania 9003 XV, CB, or ST headlight bulbs?
Members:
Has anyone ever tried Sylvania 9003 XtraVision, Cool Blue, or SilverStar bulbs for our headlights? I was considering th XtraVision bulbs, since they are the most affordable. However, I am unsure how noticeable an improvement the XtraVision bulbs will be. The Cool Blue and SilverStar bulbs look much brighter, at least in a magazine ad that I've seen. Thanks for any opinions or advice you can offer.
Sincerely,

I have had the cool blues for about 5months now. They don't give that ricey look like you see every teenager driven civic with. They just give a nice white look. I think the low-beams are ever so slightly brighter than stock. The high-beams are a good bit brighter over stock.

I've got the cool blue bulbs on my car. The color temp on them is 3700K, compared to stock or xtravision at 3200K. Remember that this is color temp of the light, not heat temp. The cool blue is definately brighter than stock, and it takes out that yellowish color. Looks very nice at night, and they are legal. I like these better than the ricey PIAAs that burn out in a few months.
By the way, I've had the bulbs for seven months. They even survived the recent headlight clearing in which they were baked in the oven, shaken, and dropped. Very high quality and gives a whiter light. They are 55W low and 60W high just like stock. Oh, and these don't give a blue reflection in the headlamp when they're off, unless you're at a perfect angle.

Yeah I've got the Cool Blue ones too. They lasted a decent amount of time. They look very good with an ever so slight blue tint that's barely noticeable. Not ricey at all. Much better than the stock bulbs.
