Kumosport bushings????

i dont get the point of these...
me and Sumuma just installed them with a Neuspeed ss adapter...

so instead of having rubber things to hold the whole shifter box down they're now metal... BIG WOW! i dont see how this affects the shifting
i dont get it... i think its all in ur heads to the ppl who think they help.
the Neuspeed ss adapter does help but i would recommend an aftermarket shift ****.

someone please enlighten me

i think it is supposed to keep the shift lever stiff...

if you're friend has a stock assembly w/out the bushings put the car in first gear and by going from side to side in first you can see that it wobbles a bit. with the bushings, put it in first gear and it shouldn't move (wobble side to side) at all. i think that's what it does

RedDragon333 will become famous soon enough
it allows for a soliud shift rather than the "mushy" feeling with the rubber adaptors i got those with the REVO short shifter and i notice a total difference....my brother has a 2001 civic 5spd as well and i feel the differnec between mine and his significantly!! his shifts are "mushy" rather than the solid shifts of my car

Decamo has a little shameless behaviour in the past
It depends on how you shift. If your just feathering the shifter than yeah you won't notice a difference but if your driving aggressively and shifting fast it makes a huge difference. The stock rubber bushings can flex a lot making it difficult to shift into gear. The kumosport gives you solid shifts.

Now the Neuspeed adapter you put on relocates the cable 'causing stiffer shifts. Thats why you don't notice the effect of the kumosports. Your prob thinking it was smoother stock but thats the sacrifice you make with a short shifter.

Exactly. Everyone is spot on. The shifts feel more solid. Duh!
No rubber to move around and flex means that it's more solid.
It'de be even better if the whole shifter assembly was made out of aluminum.
Then it would be Uber-Solid!

After examining it more, i think the bushings are actually effective in doing what you guys say. I guess i just expected too much when other people were talking about how much of a difference the bushings made. Thanks
