VTEC in our cars kicks in at like 3,000 RPMs. There's no way you're hearing the VTEC kick in let alone feel it. The Civic's VTEC is the worse example of VTEC - except when it comes to gas mileage and that excludes the Si.

The engine sounds nice without a resonator... but when I think about it, it sounds just like a lotta other regular Honda engines without a resonator. A header will make it sound a lil' better, too. I loved how my car sounded with the intake and Skunk2 exhaust almost as if the sounds were intertwined.

I let my friend Ryan have some fun with my car in a quiet neighborhood. My car now has an intake. He went around the block and the engine was fairly noticable. It would've been much louder with the exhaust, but yeah it sounded sweet. Oh, and that was from OUTSIDE of the car. From the inside, there's more exhaust. But in a tunnel, I can hear more engine with the intake and exhaust (odd?). I didn't really care about the sound of the exhaust (even for the fact that it DOES sound sweet but I guess it just got old) I just want something different.

And just to clarify my first post to this thread, there's no point in having an intake sound clip. All you hear is air being sucked up into the engine when you press the gas. It's not even that loud. The intake is most noticable when the car is idling at higher RPMs on a cold start or when you turn the ignition off. Sounds don't vary like exhausts do, but I think a CAI is more noticable than an SRI.

i don't think that's an intake you are looking for, it's the exhaust

The engine is louder, yes... but personally I don't like how it sounds at high RPMs (but I guess it's not as bad as a B18c1 or a B16b which sound like they're gonna blow up after 7,000 RPMs)... sounds better in mid-range IMO. The right exhaust note sounds better at high RPMs.

just take 10mins and remove your stock intake resonator. then just go drive around with your music off and windows down.

What you're hearing is a stock DOHC neon with the fresh air inlet duct removed. Fooled you guys huh?

Well i guess the factory 2-1/4" counts as an "exhaust" although it's not audible in this clip.

they all sound the same... cai isn't as loud as sri because the filter on the cai is muffler by the battery on top of it... if you get an sri the sound will deffinatly be louder..
