mikalem is on a distinguished road
just go get a stock alarm system..... you can pick it up for around 120 and it's got the essentials, alarm when doors or trunk is opened (I believe even if handle is raised on doors) and a flashing red LED light on the steering column to warn that the system is armed. anything more than that is really a waste of time.

Personally i prefer viper alarms. Have had friends with other brands and they have had problems. I have never had a problem with the viper

Anyone heard anything about the Ungo alarms made by Clarion? It's also got the remote start which I'm more interested in, just because it'll be really nice around here in the winter. I'm thinking of getting one installed in the next few weeks, and the only place around town that can do that uses Ungo. And I'd like to see if anyone here has one installed, and how it's working ...

Thanks!

I agree with 01civicboi. It is all about the install. I have a Clifford alarm now and in the past and have never had a problem.

If you want the OEM alarm, I have that sitting right here. $60 shipped with an extra remote. It does not have the LED though, you can get one of those at Radio Shack. PM me.
