will Muffler Question

Will installing an aftermarket muffler cause me to fail inspection. Also will my AEM intake cause me to fail. I live in NY. thanks

Neither an intake nor a muffler should affect your emmissions; it's the catalytic converter which cleans up the exhaust--just don't get rid of the cat and you should be ok.

Edit: Are there any specific exhaust regulations in your city? If so, and if your exhaust is louder than what's allowed, then you might hve a problem with that.

I don't plan on removing the resonator so I don't think I will have a problem with noise. I live in NYC.

I LIVE IN NY TOO...WHERE U FROM? I PASSED MY ECLIPSE.....I HAD 2.5" TURBO BACK EXHAUST NO CAT AND I HAD AN EXTERNAL WASTE GATE THAT VENTED INTO THE AIR AND NOT BACK INTO THE EXHAUST LIGKT YER SUPPSED TO......I GUESS RAY CHARLES DID MY INSPECTION
