It is not illegal, but make sure you run the right color bulbs. Also, try searching or some of the senior members will rip you a new

I know in Illinois (last time I read the vehicle code...) any color for front turn signals other than white (clear) or amber were illegal.

I believe some states require an amber reflector on the front of the car. Check the local laws

Its not the color of the bulb thats important, its the reflector in the front. Most states require an amber reflector in the front.

Exactly! An amber turn signal is nothing. Some BMW's and even Neons have a white turn signal. It is legal in most states to have a WHITE or AMBER turn signal. What u need is an amber reflector in the front. by clearing your lights your reflector is now clear/white. if you want to pass inspection you have to get those cheapo sticky ones from pep boys.

This is true, but if you use an amber bulb, you shouldn't get bothered...at least I haven't yet. Just don't get pulled over for anything else.

i agree with oblivious, although as long as you have either white or amber emitting from the front of the vehicle then your ok, i have the state statue if you want it.
