nah.there will just be a 7-10 inch gap between the end of the header and the downpipe if you have a dx,lx,or hx and are using an ex header because of the catalytic converter in the engine bay.so all you would need is a custom downpipe to make it fit.

So, would it would it work if I were to put DC headers for the EX and DC TCS for the EX together on the LX?

No I don't think it fits because the lx cat is in the header itself. while the ex cat is under the car.

dx,lx,hx have 2 cats. 1 taking place of the headers in the engine bay and the other under the car like the ex.i have no cats and an hp header.all straight through piping. i like it.

Actually......the Lx, Dx, and Hx have 1 cat converter located in the engine bay. After that, it goes straight to the resonator then to the muffler. I cut my resonator off because I put my OBX muffler on. Having the resonator on is like having two mufflers or so what the honda guy told me....just my 2, 3, 4 cents!

Also the Lx Dx and Hx have 2 oxygen sensors while the Ex (Si in Canada) has only one. Any headers for the Ex will fit, it's just you have to get a extra hole nut put on to your piping for that extra O2 sensor. Make that 5 cents!!

I have a 2001 LX Coupe, So is it possible for me to get the GReddy EVOlution Exhaust that is supposed to be only for the EX? and if so... what other parts would i need and what other modifications would i have to do? I would have to get a downpipe and a header and install it all at once to make it easier??

Ok now I have a question I have an LX as well, since the HP header puts the cat underneath the car does it line it up just right where i could use the GReddy Evo exhaust for the EX without any custom work.

YOU ARE WRONG! The EX has 2 O2 sensors as well, one is right below the header, the other is on the cat under the car, I replaced my cat with a high flow downpipe, now I only have the 1 o2 sensor right below the header, I had to run a o2 simulator to take place of the 2nd o2 sensor....

Ok, i have a question, correct me if I'm wrong but what ya'll are saying on an LX the cat is in the header, and the thing on the other side of the muffler is actually just a resonator.... So if thats true then i could take the resonator off and still be legal???

IQCivic.....I'm not wrong.....the hONDA dealer guy is wrong. Thats exactly what he told me and was against the idea of putting headers on our cars. He also said if I put one on, he will put a note on my warranty, and try to void it. What and idiot! So I told him to kiss it and ordered the HP racing headers two days later. Thanks for correcting me though......
