Compustar Alarm System/Remote Start
What up? I'm thinking about purchasing a Compustar alarm system for my 2k1. I searched and people haven't talked about these alarms in a while, so I wanted some updated opinions. If you have this alarm, or know someone that does.....please let me know the pros and cons of this brand of alarm, and any problems that have come up. Thanks in advance.

Oh yeah, if you don't mind.....I'd like to know how much it ran you if you do have this alarm. And can you get it online? I'm gonna have to either install this myself, or contract someone out of my local audio store to do this job on the side.....so I can have the remote start on my 5-spd. Nobody in town will do it because it's illegal in Louisiana.

Sorry, I guess it's kinda confusing the way I put it. It is "illegal" for a shop to install a remote start on a car with manual transmission. Mainly due to liability and other B.S. It's like this in most states, but some shops have the option of making you sign a waiver so that they aren't responsible for the damage when your car takes off by itself. lol I can't find a shop that'll install it, but one of the installers said he wouldn't mind a little cash on the side....so he's gonna install it for me. My boy Boosted is gonna try to put together some directions and I might even be able to install most of it by myself, but I'd rather let the pro do it.

i think its pretty easy if you have a complete wire chart of the harnesses below the steering columb.. cuz then its pretty much just splicing into wires and zip tying the brain and sensors into convienent locations. nothing ToO Hard.. just very time consuming
anyone know were i can get a complete wire chart of all the harnesses below the steering column?
