For those that have a knack for mixing body kits...

I need opinions!! I am set on the Skyline front bumper. But what rear bumper and side skirts would go good with the skyline front? I have looked at almost all the kits, and I can't make a decision. Should I go with the whole kit? Or should I mix-n-match? Please!! I need help!

P.S. I realize that a thread similar to this one was locked earlier this morning, but I searched and didn't find anything about this. If you feel that this thread should be locked also, then so be it. Any suggestions (about the kit) can be e-mailed to AEMcivic2k1@aol.com.

I have the r33 front and let me warn you, only one of every ten of those fit worth a damn. Mine just doesn't fit right and there is another person that is getting rid of his because of the poor fitment. There is a ripple in the bottom of the upper grill portion in mine and the other guy has a ripple in his upper grill and down at the bottom lip. I'm not sure why he didn't put on the seconde lower lip, but I haven't put mine on yet because of the fit... IT SUCKS!! Anyways, if you still want the r33 front, just get the urethane one. They make it now. It should fit 100000 times better than the fiberglass one.

Injencivic: You read my mind. I'm getting the Xenon sides and G5 rear. And getting rid of this POS fiberglass version and getting the urethane. I love the way it looks, but I hate the way it fits...

Just my $0.02 and a heads up so you don't get yourself into the same mess a couple of us...

Hey, thanks for the warning. I've heard that if you don't have a good body shop that does decent fiberglass work, you shouldn't get the fiberglass R33 front.....so I'm gettin the urethane. Hopefully it'll turn out a bit better. I'm just hoping that if I get the skyline rear...I won't have the same fitment problems.

I have the R33 front end and Kaminari sides and rear. It's all urethane, and it would look great except for the fact that the front doesn't fit... AT ALL. I can stick my finger underneath the headlights, and the bumper provides no support for itself and sags like a ****. Oh yeah... the top grille will hang all the way down until it touches the bumper unless you put the OEM upper grill mounting piece (the black thing behind the H) in there behind the entire bumper. Stay away from Neo, and stay away from Asylumms. I'm ordering my Tsunami front end on Friday.

You guys should really take time and browse the member's rides section. Just about any configuration of body pieces is there, you just have to look.

I browse that entire database on a daily basis trying to get ideas for my kit.

At this point I think I've come to TEC Downforce Front, Wings West Side Skirts, Kaminari Rear.

The Downforce Front Air Dam is the best looking for our cars, unfortunately it only comes in Fiberglass. I haven't decided if I want to deal with Fiberglass or not yet. If I don't, I'll get the Tsunami.

What about the R33 front from aftermarket would it fit. Do they have a good reputation with making kits that fit and good shipping and customer service?

It comes out to $430 with the under lip and its urethane not fiberglass. I just don't know if that's shipped or not and I have never heard of them before. I don't know if I can trust them. Seems like a great deal though.

They have it at Extremedimensions.com for $350.00. Never heard of them either though. The picture for that bumper isn't even on a 2k1, it's an earlier model civic. And as for the sagging issue.....I know fiberglass would be stiffer, and hold it's shape better, but what if you put some grill in the urethane bumper? Would that stiffen it up enough to where it wouldn't sag? I'm tired of worrying about this! I'm fixin to just go with the full Kaminari kit.

Fiberglass will crack to easily and urethane will not crack and it is bendable. You hit any little bump and there goes your whole front bumper. Urethans should be stronger.
