hood molding removal
i just got matching hood molding for my sedan but i cant get the silver one off!...i know u gotta jam a screwdriver in there or something but i cant do it...please help

Rep Power: 318 I'm assuming the lock tab thing in the center of the trim piece?
You gotta get a small screwdriver to push the locking wedge in, then you have to sort of work it off. Don't force it off. Just keep working on it and it'll come off eventually.

Rep Power: 0 cuz i got a black one...thanks inanimate..that was hard..took a while..i didnt wanna scartch my hood...they should have made it easier...anyway..i think the all black looks better

Rep Power: 0 Yea i just installed my black hoodstrip too. looks great with my cleared lights/altezza grill/eye lids. I picked mine up at Hondawerx for $19. real easy to install. Just unbolt the 4 bolts and puch that center tab in till it pops out.

There are four little bolts thast you have to unbolt from the underside of the hook. Then there's a small clip in the middle that's made out of hard black plastic. It's got little tabs that snap in around the metal. As stated, just push in a screwdriver to deform that clip and pry the hood moulding off.
