I'm pretty sure they're the same too. I have overlays and I know they're Electro-Luminescent also.

these overlays are a pain in the ***! I have the AC autotechnic gauges and they suck I wonder when a while new gauge cluster will be available....

Nothing sucks about them? How about the fact the the needle stick because the gauges dont sit flush? Or how about the fact that they hardly ever work? I checked my wiring tons of times, sometimes they come on and then they just shut off, maybe I have a deefective set, I mean I like the way they look, its just they have caused me so much grief!!! I wonder if they have a warranty or anything....

Looks like the ones you got are broke. Most of the members here, including myself, have had good luck with them. The main problem would be that the needles get stuck, but after adding a little tape, its all good.
