Intake temp gauges

Would this be useful in determining the quality of an intake? I guess you could compare different intakes with it, or test the effectiveness of that "intake heat wrap" stuff they advertise in magazines.

This page, number 4372

Here's a closeup

Would this work for a regular intake mod, or is this only used for turbo or something?

Did you use the trans temp gauge for your intake then?

Beats me how hot my intake will be?

Anyone know how hot they generally run?

What is the range of temps on your gauge?
