Sub enclosure
A while ago someone posted a thread about selling a sub box that was custom made to fit in our civics. I tried to find it and could not. If anyone has heard of this and can help me find it or if anyone has made a custom box for our cars email me soon. Thanks. incapearl01@kc.rr.com
custom is a very general term.
when you want custom, you are talking about specialized work that will fit only your car, sometimes only YOUR EXACT car.
when i built a box to fit my trunk, it had maybe 1/4 an inch of clearance. however, i raised my floor three inches and turned my trunk springs upside down. i have no idea if it would fit a stock coupe, but it only fits in teh sedan cause the sedan trunk is HUGE in comparison.
what kind of custom work were you looking for?

what I mean by custom is when you look in the coupe's trunk you see 2 12" subs facing you in a box that fits perfectly up against the rear of the rear seats, with no gaps on the right or left sides!
for a box like that, ben can give you minute details, hes got a box like that, there is one other guy who has that too, i forget his name, but a pic of his box is in his sig, its small and hard to make out, but you cna see like 2 or 3 plexi windows surrounded by black. those two would best be able to give you details about something like that.

i had two boxes! i was GIVING them both away, custom fit to a civic coupe. one went to speedracersong (is he getting rid of his civic?) the other one noone showed any interest in so i burned it at a campfire at the beach. mdf with a ton of air = burns WELL.
was it a giant box for a single 15 inch woofer? both my boxes were single 15 boxes....
i have a picture of me parked next to an identical black civic. mine sat abotu an inch lower to the ground
edit: i got a new box in teh works. top secret, ill show ya pics when im done. but a 15 is big for a civic? i got a surprise for that attitude right there

ill be honest with you, i completely stopped doing measurements when it comes to full custom boxes for a car. I will trim the piece down till it is a perfect fit. so no.
easiest way to do something like what you want is to start making cutouts using cardboard so you know what you need to cut, then you can fit that onto a sheet so you know how much wood you need to buy and even what shape to cut it into.
thats generally what i do when i build a custom box.

You can try these links to make your own:

I want the style that fit against the back of the seats and goes all the way to the sides, and it makes it look like you have a smaller trunk, the oneson the floor make it where u can't really use your trunk
