I have a 02 civic ex automatic, wtih 35% tint all around, black projectors and thats it.
i have 450 i want to spend right now but dont know what to get.
a few friends i know said not to get the exhaust because it doesnt sound right on an

if i were in your position id go for a set of springs or coilovers...if you dont wanna do that then an exhaust for sure...there is no reason that it would sound different on an auto..whoever told you that doesnt know what they are talking about

You mean an exhaust system on an auto car won't sound different from stock? Or from a manual with the same exhaust?

Whoever told u not to get an exaust because you're auto is an idiot... i'd buy springs and then save more money for rims and struts and then put em all on at once.

The actual sound of the exhaust will sound the same on an Automatic as it does on a 5-speed

The difference between the auto and the manual sound is that you can always tell a manual car because the shift is slower than an auto. That's what I think your friends are were trying to tell you. The auto and the manual might sound the same but with a loud exhaust you can tell them apart easier.
