HKS Turbo Kit
HKS says on their site that they're developing a turbo kit for the 01 Civic EX. Anyone know what this kinda kit would include, and price range?

hey wassup...u sure buot this...cuz the last i heard...pretty much no company is makin a turbo...only way to get a turbo would be to get a custom done...but imma have to agree wit wut everyone has said in the past...ill believe it when i see pictures and stuff
You're probably going to see a lot of replies that say "do a search" here in a minute. hks has a working turbo kit for us.. but the injectors are too small to get the right results.. and larger injectors would cause the car to not be carb legal. They're a cali based company.. so anything they produce will be legal in cali. They're still doing R&D to make it work.

This has some good info
Keep checking on that, hopefully soon, it'll be done.
Would you pay 3k-4k for 30-40HP gains? For this civic? I would...

Yea, this way you can still look good and be faster. If you were to trade in for an Si hatch then you may be faster but you're gonna look like crap

Exactly, I rather put mods on the Odyssey and make some bada$$ sound sytem in the back.
I hope more poeple find this thread, that way they can keep pushing HKS to hurry up.

Hmmm . . . does anyone else find it funny that all these project/prototype civics are sedans? The HKS turbo is in a sedan, HAsport is putting a k20A2 into a sedan, Greddy has a picture of an EBP sedan on their site . . . the only new thing I've seen with coupes has been the Fiber Images coupe with the non-functional turbo. Is there something I'm missing?

yah i also thought about that. but i think its in it for owners of sedans. all protos in the early developing honda were coupes they jus want to show some more pride in the civic.???? idunno.
I was lookin over the pics of the hks turbo sedan that someone posted in this particular forum and it I noticed something. Why in the hell did they bend the pipe to go back towards the fire wall of the car for the air filter, when they could of bent a pipe to relocate the air filter under the battery like the injen intake does. I noticed that and maybe theres some reason behind it but to me it sounds pretty stupid to do that.
