PLEAZ...Q's About Horse power

K ..the 2001 honda civic exaust pipes ar like 1 1/4 or a lil bigger....so i installe..2 1/2 from the converter at the front of the car all the way to the apexi M1X muffler...and i was wonderng how much more horse there is in that...Pleaz talk to me hee or email me at Krayzdawg@aol.com. thanx a lot!

OK...you might as well resign yourself to just looking good...at least for a while. Our engines are not too responsive to traditional i/h/e mods, so we don't get much of a hp increase--just the looks and the sound.

Silver2k1dood is right, unless you have some major performance upgrades the bigger exhaust wont do much, if you open it up too much you may even lose power. We are doing Dyno testing on my site soon to show the effects of the exhaust.

Honda should have realized that when these cars were going to be bought, there would have been a group of people that were going to use them as street/strip machines for racing. They should have put more thought into the engine design and aftermarket parts friendlyness. But, for the normal person who just drives this car to work, school, or pleasure (and not going to mod it), you have to admite, its one good little engine.
