DIY JDM headlights???

Just wondering, I'm planning on customizing my headlights, and giving it the JDM look, by darkening the lens of the headlights and giving it a tint. I tried a search but doesn't look like anyone has done it before.
Just a couple of questions.
Has anyone tried this?
How does it look?
Was it hard to do?
What do you guys think of doing it?

Pedrito, tight ride. Hey, what kind of paint did you use for the headlights? Also, my boy did it to his headlights on his milano red 99 si. He was saying after he painted them, he stuck them in the oven for about 15 minutes. Is that what you did, or did you just let them sit to dry?

Pedrito, nice car. I love cf hoods. It's a good thing you mowed the lawn before taking those pics.
F**k is that low. I'd have no kit left if I did that in my city.

those of you with cleared headlights is it possible to remove the diffuser over the light? I want to get rid of it and make it more like the s2000 lights cause they look so much better coming down the road.

i have JDM look headlights on a silver coupe - but I'm mostly stock at the moment, check my members' rides page

edit: and since this is a DIY, it might be better off in the tech forum.
