The impression I am getting is that, the AEM bypass valve will fit after you do some modifying to the Injen intake, like cutting a section open to put the bypass valve in...true?

Not true, teh way Injen is a TRUE CAI intake, it comes as 2 parts, you can just replace your rubber hose fitting that connects the 2 tubes with the bypass valve and projects done. No cutting or damaging of your intake system. However, the chances of you actually needing a bypass valve for an Injen itake the way the bends are positioned in our car is Extremely unlikely. Of course anyone can say "well yea, so go drive thru a puddle and see what happens" but im not that stupid to do with a CAI in my car, and i doubt that anyone else is either. I have been thru EXTREME rain weather already severael times and it was on teh highway coming home, if that was not the worst case scenario short of driving into a pond, I dont know what is. If your filter is oiled properly, it will deflect nearly ALL water from penetrating it that happens to get splashed on. its just the way of the world, physics are great. (also, take note that the way the injen is made, there are 3 separate DRASTIC bends that the water flow would have to follow and it the laws of gravity just dont allow it.)

i agree wit c-loc, bypass isnt needed. like he said law of physics, but i dont think you can install it where the rubber fitting is because i think in the bypass instructions it has to be 7" away from throttle body or something to that fact, correct me if wrong
