windshield wipers?

Anybody have any clue as to what the lengths of the wipers are? I'm pretty sure that they're 2 different lenghts for each side. It's been a year and I've been meaning to replace them for about 6 months now. [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG] Also, it seems as if the current set of wipers has left some kind of residue on the windshield. I'm not too sure how to describe it. It seems as though where the passenger side wiper has come across the windshield, in the middle, it has left this 'patch' of something right in the middle. I'm not too sure on how to get it off. It's seems as the rubber is sticking to the windshield. I'm not too sure on how to get it off. I've tried all different kinds of stuff to get it off, and I can't. It's only visible when it rains or if I use the wipers. I really need to get it off cause it's aggrevating me! Thanks for the help.
