Painting Body Kit?

Hey everyone, I am fixing to get a West Wings G5 Kit for my car. I keep hearing that the kit is very expensive to get painted at the dealership. If I bring the kit to another paint shop and give them the paint code for my car from the door, can they paint it the same color?

Not 100% sure on this, so correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that you can get it prepaionted to match your factory color directly from WW.

Take it to a local body shop. They will look up your paint code and see how many alternates there are. For instance Satin Silver Metalic has 5 alternates using Sherwin W. Paint. 3 how these can be ruled out (for acura) leaving us with 1 standard and 1 alternate. The shop will probably take those two color chips and see which one is closer. That will be the formula that they use. Make sure you ask around and find a reputable shop. And please don't skimp on price. A cheap paint job will have matching problems and if the body kit is preped inproperly, it will most certainly chip down the road. good luck!
