Just ordered my GoldLine Springs.

Just ordered my Goldline Springs today. Hopefully, they will be here by the weekend. Any advise on installing them? I plan on doing it myself. I have access to a spring compressor. Any advice or links to websites with how-to's will be greatly appreciated.

I appreciate it. I did a search before I made my post. I didn't come across your DIY. I'm glad you told me about it. Let me ask you this. I read through everthing you said and it all makes sense. But, could explain the part about putting marks on the strut to keep everything lined up. Do you put the marks on the strut before or after you pull the strut out?

I'm getting my strut compressor from Pepboys. Everybody in the forum seemed to agree that the ones from Autozone are hard to work with.

Thanks again!!

the pep boys one looks just as hard, because you have to worry about two bolts instead of one....

when you mark the strut, you take it off the car and then mark it before you take the strut apart... i used a lil knife and made a scratch because i couldn't find a grease pen or anything...
the back only has the bottom mount and the top mount
the front has a bottom mount and top mount but it also has a smaller spinning disc but you dont have to worry about marking that because you just line up the arrows(you'll know what i mean when you see it) and those 3 bolts only go back in the car one way so...

i havn't used the one from pep boys but i'm thinking its going to be pretty hard to use... you should really have a friend to help you out.
the autozone one was fine for the front(kinda) but it was a pain for the back.

but ya goodluck, if you have any more questions then feel free to post, and when are you doing it? cause if you run across any problems maybe you might want to post your questions here and i could try to answer them sooner.

I plan on installing them this weekend, if they arrive on time. If not, it will be next weekend. I know the compressors you are talking about. I think the Pepboys here, carries both kinds. We'll see. Thanks.
