Universal Exhaust w/ silencer Question

Hey guy, I've done all the seaching I can and have found out a lot but still need some help. Going with the catback will set me back upwards of $400 so i was thinking of getting a Universal exhaust from Speed people, speciafically the Bomb muffler
Now my question is what is the custom piping that i have to get done on it? Is that headers? Or can i go to a speed shop and have them install it for me? I won't actually be losing power right? Just not gaining the 2-4 hp gains that you get with a $400 catback system right? I want a nice deep growl and not a high pitch whine. I do have my resinator removed and can get a Injen Cold air intake too if thats what it takes and a 4-1 header in about 2 months if needs be.
Also will this exhaust fit my OEM bumper without any cutting because i haven't found any thing on the max size that'll fit under there. Thanks for all your help guys.

<< Dude you should save up for some more money and go with a nos system. >>

whoa whoa, calm down there jr. . . .

First, if you want the exahust, go for it, find out stuff about it like if it can go with your civic, is it a good price, and how much you gain from it. . . Second, if you get the custom piping, get 2 and a quarter piping Cat Back. . meaning. . they will change the pipes starting from your CAT and back. . hence the word CAT BACK. . .keep your 2k1 or 2k2 Catalytic converter. . it's new soo why buy a new one?? soo theres your piping, now find your exahust. . i have a universal exahust that is like the 5zigen fireball. . it's really loud with a deep throttle sound since the piping shop didn't add the exahust resonator. . .if you want more air out and more deep sound (which can get you pulled over) get the piping, with a exahust and no exhaust resonator. .remember, you can get pulled over for having a loud exahust!

and if there is a red X. . it wasn't there before. .it was the Fast And the furious post about "It's Nitrous. . your moron!"

Also, how do i know if the "bomb muffler" that i want to buy will fit because if i buy it from speedpeople i can't really test it until i get it which will be too late.
