Window vent questions...

So, my weather stripping just isn't as good as it used to be. The windows don't seal up completely and I can hear wind noise when I am on the highway.

Do window vents help reduce wind noise if the window is cracked or rolled down? If so, looks like I will be making a purchase here soon...

Re: Window vent questions...

they definitely reduce the wind that enters the cabin but i wouldn't say it reduces wind noise. why not just replace the weather stripping??? http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...ry5=DOOR+PANEL

Is it from the windows or the door? if the weather stripping is bad around the door edge you will get the same noise, but the vents will keep rain and wind out, to me the noise will reduce slightly if your window is higher than the vent, otherwise no..

Re: Window vent questions...

The window doesn't create a full seal on the door because of the old striping and the windows are slightly off track.

My question: If you crack your window/ roll your window down, do the vents help reduce the wind noise in that situation?

I might have to look into how easy it would be to replace the weather stripping, sounds like it would be a pain thought. And low life, your link doesnt work :/

What's a window vent? Some doodad you put in the window track? I'd just repair the seal problem.

They do reduce noise(or claim to) however i would not say it is a huge reduction. But long story short YES they do
