Has anyone out there ever lost the gas cap to our cars and had to buy another one. It's ridiculous. The one for the accords is only about $8-$9. Ours cost f**king $28. That is unreal. I'll never lose that thing again. They need to come up with some sort of attaching device. Cause i know i'm not the only forgetful person.

I don't know. I just went straight to the dealer. He said they cost so much because of the suction or air pressure or something like that.

28 bucks for a gas cap! Factory parts are expensive but that is a new level of expensive. Man! I would have just gone to pepboys or something. I bet you will keep a better eye on that puppy now. LOL

WORD!

have you tried looking in advanced autoparts, or some kind of store like that yet? i'm sure you can find some kind of universal cap, our civics aren't that f-ing special.

Just go to a gas station and tell them you left it behind. They probably have tons lying around.

Get the hanger form HandA and stick it on and use it. Not a big deal. There's tons of posts about that here.

i took a holre puncher and punched a hole in and put a zip tie trouugh it . diy gas hander it is cheap but who looks at your gas cap.
