Lightweight Battery company-Antigravity
Hi all,
I'm coming on here because I own a company called Antigravity Batteries...
http://www.antigravitybatteries.com
We make superlight weight lithium batteries... we actually make them for motorcycles primarily because that is where we started....In bikes they offer huge wieght saving compared to stock... about 8-10 pounds on a 1000cc bike. And that really helps handling... But I realized that these may be beneficial to those who want significant weight saving in there trackday or race car...
I've seen the braile battery and those are ungodly expensive though nice looking with the Carbon Fiber... but for 1/3 the cost you could have our most powerful 3 lbs. battery that can easily start Toyota 4.0 litre V6s...Which might be overkill...
We sell two batteries that would work very well in the 4 cylinder cars... I have a 12 cell battery and a 16 cell battery...
The 12 cell starts 4 cylinders no problem and weighs 2.2 pounds
12v 6.9 Ah Battery
360 Cold Cranking Amps-
Weight 2.2 lbs
3" wide x 4" long x 2.75 inches tall.
16-cell can start large v6s easily
12v
9.2 Ah Battery
480 Cold Cranking Amps-
Weight 3.0 lbs
4" wide x 4" long x 2.75 inches tall
These batteries are really intended for track day and race use just because a SLA (Lead/Acid) battery do have a long Amp Hour life so are better if your kicking back listening to the stereo loud or watching a DVD... That is where SLA is better... But if you have a basic vehicle these will offer more cranking amps and a large weight reduction. IF you interested in this type of battery or have questions shoot me an email.
