APEXi r00lz...... PERIOD, Tanabe is a rice brand, APEXi is a Tuner brand, if you are a ricer please do not purchase APEXi as you will give the company a bad name....THat is all

Oh and BTW...custom piping when mandrel bent and doen at a really high end performance shot is while custom piping done at say...Midas is

Tanabe is the way to go it has the staight through design more than any other compnay and is in no way a ricer brand its straight from the leaders of street performance in Japan...i have done the research so wait for the Racing M the Hyper is out but i dont like the way it looks on the car....Apexi is good to but not as good as the Tanabe and whatever you do stay away from the custom piping unless you KNOW whos doing the work

huh???
custom welding is good. as long as u get it done right and professionally done at tuner shops.
as far as im concerned it does the job and if done right and carefully it will have a much better performance rate than one from tanabe or so!

I've installed quite a few exhausts in my day, the one with the best piping I've seen is the turbo version of the Greddy Evo. a lot of people at my school have tanabe, and they all suck, all the tru tuners have APEXi, although if you wanna be really hardcore go with a JDM Spoon or Mugen exhaust system.

APEX'i = i would know because i have one with custom piping. just like everyone says, as long as you get MANDREL bent piping and get it done at a experienced tuner shop, it's just as good a full catback. plus the tanabe is gonna sound like a damn bumblebee

Hey iamboo, there is a big different between mandel and crush bend, and that is the performance. Mandel bend keep the inner pipe diameter size same at corner bend as the straight pipe. For example, the pipe size 2.25", thus mandel corner bend is 2.25", this keeps the pipe sizing consistence. Therefore, smooth and constant air flow has no back pressure to give you good hp gain, unlike crush bend is 2.00" at the cornver bend, which is smaller = back pressure = < hp gain

my muffler guy knows performance... he explained to me how he can prevent that from happening... he's been doing this since the 60's and 70's and has been in 4 magazines... i'm sure he knows what he's doing...
