Camber kits problem

I was wondering, what really is the difference between OEM and after market camber kits? Mine is a 1997 Honda civic coupe which is lowered. I don't know what camber kits should I buy so that the wheel alignment would match the manufactures specs.

Re: Camber kits problem

Aftermarket camber kits are adjustable, the stock on isnt. The lower the car goes, the more adjustment the rear wheels need because they tend to tip inwards. The lower you go the more adjustment you'll need. If you plan on dropping an inch, then any adjustable kit will do, if you want to slam it and tuck the rubber under the fender you'll need a lot more adjustment. The amount of adjustment is measured in degrees.

Re: Camber kits problem

i got the megan racing adjustable upper control arms for my 97 ex coupe. it ran me about 100 dollars. They are adjustable for stock, up to 4 inches of lower. My car is pretty low as you can see, my fender eats my tire and megans work great! I was having an issue of serious tire depletion on the inside edge. My $150 each tires were destroyed after 10,000 miles. If you lower, you need a camber kit. Go on ebay and type in this item number :180375392161.

Re: Camber kits problem

Should I buy only the rear camber kits or both rear and front?

Re: Camber kits problem

usually the fronts do not need adjustment, but its cheap enough so might as well get it. its just a pair of camber bolts that are adjustable. the rear is the most important.

Re: Camber kits problem

he has a 6thgen. they use an uca and not cam bolts to adjust camber in the front.

spc and ingalls make good kits, but ive seen a lot of ppl run skunk2 as well. its recommended in the front but a lot of ppl use the washer trick for the rears

Re: Camber kits problem

i got the megans after i used the washer trick. The washer trick does not work! i was riding down the road and my rear passenger side arm came unbolted. It was not pretty. That happened because the washers busted and the bolt was loose therefor rocking back and forth which backed the nut all the way out and it came off. Just get the camber kits. They are worth the money.
