how low with 205/45/17's?

im looking to drop my car as soon as i get my rims but i dont know how low is safe. I want to do springs, not coilovers and a camber kit of course. My quesrion is how low to go. The rims are konig rated r's with 205/45/17's. Should i go for the H&R 1.75's or Progress 2"

i have 215/45/17 and got the progress springs and it looked o.k.
I personally wanted to go lower so i cut a coil front and back (Check out my pic in members rides).
How low you want to go depends on the look you want of course.
Personally, i want to go even lower when i get 215/40/17 tires soon.
