yep, it's your input shaft bearing, like someone said above. honestly if you're somewhat mechanically inclined, it's not too bad to fix. i changed the throw out bearing in my k20a2 this weekend and didn't even have to loosen the subframe. just scooted the tranny around until there was enough room to work. you should probably go ahead and replace your throw out bearing while you're in there, and inspect your clutch and blow everything out with an air compressor or something.

Re: help wit clutch noise plz from 05 vic

I had a squeak like that at the pedal both going down and coming back up.

Lubed the joint on the slave cylinder, all gone.

You just have to pull the boot out of the way and spray some lithium on the joint.

Another spot common for squeaks is the ball where the release bearing fork pivots. Bit of a pain to lube, but it gets rid of the noise.

Hope this helps

how did you change your input shaft bearing without pulling the transmisson out? You have to take apart the whole transmission to get to it.

Anyways...to CivicX3, if you need help replacing that bearing...shoot me a PM...ive done quite a few of them now. haha

is it just me, or this problem more common with the 04-05's? Ive only had to replace the shaft bearing on those, never 01-03's..
