no name vs. Injen
ok, on procarparts.com they have a SRI for the 2k1 and up civic.. and its like uhh, i think 65bucks or so.. and then theres the Injen SRI for around 150. would the 2 be the same, or would i be better off payin 150 for the Injen?ProCarParts.com SRI
First of all from what I have heard, ProcarParts.com sucks in terms of service and communication. Secondly, I thinka few people on here have tried their intake for our cars and said that they don't fit right. I think they said the intake wouldn't allow the hood to close properly. My suggestion would be to go ahead and spend a little more and get something you can trust, injen, aem. But if you still want to save money, I have seen a new intake for our cars on eBay lately. Importech (made by Nakayama, which is made by OBX I think) cold air intake. It's selling for like $60. If you want you could give that a try and write up a review on it for everyone...
Spend more and get the injen. Many times, procarparts stuff doesn't fit right, and probably will come with some cheaper material filter. Check their ratings on ebay, it's aweful. I ordered HIDs from them a while back, never got it, when i tried to call, it was constantly busy. After 2 days trying, I finally got through. Later, they cancelled the order saying the product is defective. The moral, avoid procarparts like a fat prostitute on Hollywood Blvd. and take your money elsewhere.

Well, I don't know about fitment issues, but they are all basically the same. On a sri the filter is the most important aspect. I would go with a cai such as injen if I was you. The filter is what really serperates the brands and the location of the filter. You could buy a cheap intake and get a nice filter.

lots of people have had problems with procarparts.com, avoid them, and definitely avoid their intake, it doesnt fit and they will refuse to accept a return because the fact that it doesnt fit causes it to get scratched. do a search and you might find the thread on the procarparts.com intake
I have that one form pro car parts and I payed 120 for it. It does not fit it is not of our cars. I scratched the top trying to close it. They would not take it back. Then I had to cut it to fit. works fine now. But go with Injen.
The next time I get something that i supposed to fit and doesn't, I'm going to mash it all up with a sledge hammer, torch it, put it in a box and send it to the owner of the company that made it. Just for the hell of it.

if u want to save money, u can also grab one of the many cheap CAI on ebay... I think the importech one and a similiar one thats cheaper are AEM CAI replicas... the filter looks like cheapy 10 bucks stuff, so just find a K&N cone filter and slap it on. you'll have something almost as good as AEM's CAI.
I haven't seen actual photo of any OBX CAIs so yeah.. I dunno what those are like.
if you're interested, I'll sell my InJen SRI to you. heh.
