Egay fogs with an ion lense
So I just bought some fogs from ebay... the ion lense ones.
I know the switch sucks, and the harness might not reach... I was looking for pics of the output from others with the ion lense.
Has anyone changed the bulbs to yellow.
Anyone moded the socket to take a diffrent bulb?
Anyone done anything with them becides installed them and been happy or pissed off?

Damn, I forgot to get you some pictures. I have one complaint. I put them on, and three weeks later both are cracked. They're not impact cracks either. I think they got too hot and a rain puddle hit them. I'm running Nokya hyper yellows in them. The light output is amazing, though. You won't regret the purchase. The only part of the ebay harness I used is the one that connects to the fogs.
i did buy the ebay fogs and i hated it, so i sold it to another memeber on here and he said it worked fine. i brought the real oem fogs from handaaccessories. get the nokya hyper yellow. u wont regret it. i have it for my turn signal also

Damn... cracked huh? Thats going to suck because I live in a VERY rainy place. Cracked from heat I'm guessing... anyway to treat plastic so it work crack under sudden temp changes such as the puddle hitting it?
Hmm.. I'm still not sure about what kind of bulbs they are. I think they are H11's but I may be wrong.
BTW sen, i'd still be interested in some pics!! And ay, what do u know- its dark out at the moment! haha.
Hmm.. well heres a pic frm the seller I bought them from. (4caroption) I'm slightly worried that they may send the wrong product, I've heard they have fvcked orders up before, but I put in two places to double check that they are the correct ones. Hopefully they wont look yellow, and will look more clear/white when they are not on. Trying to not stick out and have amber, yellow, white, ect lights on my car, lol.. christmas tree style.

the ion lens makes the light a tad yellowish, but its not a big difference, maybe you might not even notice. you can get the nokya yellow bulbs tho they are much better than stock. and yes they get very hot but ive never had mine break. i wouldnt recommend putting film on them cause well it will just melt. maybe try some diamondite spray for chip protection. i think cargeek still sells it.
hey iv had the ebay fog lights for a year and something now and i havnt had any problems. as for the ion ones my buddy bought them 1 month ago and they are a bit yellow not to much. looks ok but get the yellow bulbs. I recently got the 3000K yellow bulbs in mine and looks really good.

Cool... diamondite, i'll check that out. cargeek or autogeek.com autogeek.net?
I did a search and found it, I think... looks like just a glass cleaner- I'm not so sure about its plastic protection abilities.

Thank god some ppl's havent cracked. Thats good to know. *sigh of relief*
I've heard good things about the nokya bulbs
Could you guys post pics of the output with whatever bulbs you have in, thanks!

the SHIELD canister protects plastics and glass and other things from chipping. idk how it does it, but thats what it says on the bottle. they use it for airplane windshields.

^^^^
yeah, I gotta do that. which one is whats good?
I also need a fog light switch to use with the foot well lighting I was telling you about. Plans- running 2 inverters for 4 ccfl tubes- wanted to have them come on with the doors opening, and also have it controlled by a fog light switch so I could turn them on whenever I want. --suggestions on a Honda OEM foglight switch for this?? Hopefully they'd be the same.
I think it was you gearbox, didnt you have lke 4 switches down by the cig lighter that each lit up a different color?

well i bought some autozone switches, just red lens with a light inside. they are really bright but not as bad as those crazy led ones that blind you. i dont use em often enough to care obviously. i got another switch under the dash cover for the main headlights but no pic of that.

and the oem fog switch, doesnt fit perfect cause theres small gap, but it works

Hmm thats not what I was thinking of, but that is another idea. Looks like a space shuttle, verrom.
Anyone remember the picture of the center console near the cigg outlet that a member had like 4 oem switches, each for a different thing and each with a different color led inside? I was hoping to make my switches match and be able to use the same OEM one. is there a fog light switch (OEM honda) that would would work with both a set of neons and egay foglights?

honda fogs run too hot, enough to burn your hand. laminx was nice tho i sent them pics of the film that turned brown and burnt and they gave me refund. headlamp lenses are much bigger and dont get as hot so its not a problem. looks like the ion lens helps more than just getting the bulb. i tried some ion blue/yellow bulb and it looked almost exactly like stock. if they werent on side by side there is no way to even notice a dif.

i'll have to agree with gearbox here, the laminx does burn. I had my fogs for about 2 weeks before the nokya yellow bulbs were too much for it. they are brown/black. looks as if you took a lighter and burned the outside
Hey guys check this out. a member on here wants to sell his ebay fogs for 250 bucks!!:
