Na, I just need it for the upper grill I made. Im going with the black instead of the chromey look. Im also picking up a fg r34 bumper so Ill put some in that while my oem bumper and lip kit get repaired and molded.

Hey blouisgod can you made a diy for doin a custom upper grill. I have a CWEST front end which is almost the same as an r34 the only difference is where the "holes" are in the bumper and I really wanna make a custom grill for it. Its already got the mesh in the bottom parts. Also wut do u guys think would look better chrome or black? My car is silver with gunmetal rims and blackouts.

Is there a diy for making an upper grill that I'm not finding? I tried searchin and couldn't come up with anything. Also for my lower grill in my bodykit wut's the best way to fasten it to the bumper? should i get some of those gril hooks put in or is a glue type stuff better?

Heres how I made mine, but Ive heard they make the grill shell now somewhere. Anyway, get an altezza grill with the hard plastic mesh built in. Take straight edged pliers and cut the mesh out. Use a dremel to de-bur the old grill leaving you with a smooth shell...this takes time. Use bondo to seal any gashes and smooth everything out by wetsanding. and, paint that bitch.
A quick overview of my grille...
1. I started by cutting out the honeycomb of the factory grille.
2. I took the factory molding (painted piece) and put it up to the mesh. I then wedged the clips at either end into the mesh. I cut all the excess mesh off.
3. I put the molding up to the factory grille and started puttting all the screws and tabs into place. I then took some adhesive and started gluing all the tabs (mainly because I was missing some screws.
4. Put the grille back into the factory location and bam...done!
Of course this was with the factory grille...
