stock spoiler removal

i have a stock spoiler on my 01 civic ex coupe... i want to remove it.. cause well i just dont like it.. any info on what i can use to cover or plug the holes its gonna leave... it looks like no water will get in my trunk if i leave the holes open.. but that **** is ghetto.. i want it done right... or maybe someone has a new trunk lid they are lookin to get rid of..

Ya I have that same prob. I had the same Q actually. Well i was thinking to wait till i get money saved up and just replace the trunk with a CF trunk. so then no worries.

use some colored tape.. i've seen ppl use electrical tape on black cars. To do it rite, you have to get those holes filled at a body shop.

Spoiler Removal

I have a 05 civic and last month i took my factory spoiler off. I went to a body shop and had the holes filled the my truck painted. It cost me $40. It was worht it too.

theres actually a few ways u can fill them in. bondo or u can sand around the hole mig weld it and sand it flats u wont have to worry about bondo cracking.

300-400 dollars. **** just get a carbon fiber hood for that much! YIKES!

i used bondo and then sanded. I'm still in the process of sanding it. Once i flaten it, i'll paint it w/ the cover paint from honda. I had a ssm celica style wing and got sick of the way it looked. If any one wants it let me know.

$40??? i bought a new rear bumper and had it and the front sprayed and it was over $1400. 250 and some change for the new rear and 600 and some change for paint for each bumper. but my **** is flawless and will look nice for years and years to come.
