Rep Power: 0 Quiet performing exhaust?
Hey anybody out there. I put on a Hayame muffler but it was way too loud and took it off. I'm still looking for a good performing exhaust but much quieter. The whole car vibrated with the Hayame; its a shame I could really feel the performance difference. Got any ideas???

Rep Power: 0 Bless the search function of the forums!!!!! Does having the silencer on hurt the performance increases that you get from installing an oem exhaust? I like the look of the smaller ones. Not the HUGE coffee can looking ones though. The only problem that I have with them is the silly lawnmower sound that seems to come out of all the ones that I see. I'm guessing that the ones with silencers cost more money? That would explain why all I ever see/hear is loud annoying ones. I want my car to look nice and perform well, but without the rice boy sound following me arround everywhere I drive. Comments? Suggestions?

Rep Power: 0 sorry to say I really dont trust your guys opinions on sound..... (no hard feelings) I heard the clip of the manga flow an it was pretty bassy an loud.... the greddy evo.. a lil better but the sound clip on the forum is a piece of sh*t... if everyone could please post sound clips of their cars.. or give links to clips not in the forum or even clips we might of missed in our searches.. it would be much appreciated I'm with nightflareText on the rice sound following me everywhere I go. I have a design intership commin up this summer... an the last thing I need is to crack the V.P's hearing aid as he gets out of his benz...

Rep Power: 0 << Magnflow is a sweet system cause it is not loud at all and sounds nice, deep, and mellow. never gets loud or ricey. >>
I'll agree with the quiet part but I think it does sound a wee bit ricey. It's a great system for people who want an exhaust but not something that is going to be loud as hay and cause the neighbors nightmares. It's hardly noticeable until the rpms hit 3k in my opinion. After that, it's hard to hear anything over the cai.

Rep Power: 0 the magnaflow is a bit ricey? hahah...I'd love to know what you consider NOT to be ricey, then?! Bottom line...I wanted a catback that would give me a lil performance boost, but I didn't want one that would annoy the hell out of everyone at my clinic. I'm a med student, so it's not like I can be rattling the walls every time I roll into the place. The MagnaFlow gave me everything I wanted...nice little boost in performance, nice deep and pleasant sound, and quiet enough that everyone on the planet doesn't have to know that I have it. Sounds like a great deal to me
