Int. Type-R Muffler

I have a stock Type-R muffler lying around my garage right now. Would I see any performance gains if I just welded the muffler on? Or would I need to make custom pipings for it?

If there isn't really much performance gain with the muffler + piping, I'll just weld the muffler on the stock pipes, the tip looks hot

low end has slight gain and high end acceleration is slightly better. mind you this muffler is made for a car with larger piping and over 200hp. my Type R muffler has a mandrel bent pipe welded onto it. nothing better than an axel back Type R muffler for the EM2.

PS: it sounds great.

So should I get new pipings? What diameter/size piping would you suggest?
