AC to dc converter?

is there something that runs dc powered accessories (like car stereo) by plugging into wall outlet?

yea, a normal universal transformer works fine from radioshaq, what kind of amperage do u need?

yea, just get a normal universal power adapter for like pc speakers, routers, etc, set it at 12v etc. then your set.

yeah they are kinda easy to build.... then again this coming from someone who is getting a computer engineering degree and spends most of his free time at school building circuits for fun.

yeah its pretty easy to get a converter, but something high amperage is going to cost a decent amount of money.

the power supply in a computer is a great example. with 3.3V, 5V, and 12V rails. Ive seen some 12V rails support up to 35A, or even more. thats alot of power.
