Civic 04 Mesh Grill Installation Question?

There are a few DIY threads to show the installation of the mesh grill on a Civic 04-05 coupe, it looks very nice!!!

I have a question though, as far as I know there are 2 parts of the OEM grill for the coupe, the upper radiator cover and lower U-shape grill, when you install the aluminum mesh on the lower U-shape grill and slide in the finished grill into the front bumper, how do you secure the grill? Because it was attached to the radiator cover but you have to remove it and you can not put the radiator cover back on.

What is the best method to install the grill and make sure it is completely secured and with only the lower part attached to the bumper? Would it be good enough to install the grill only with screws attached to the bumper at the bottom (with no plastic clips attached to the radiator cover on the top)? Do you have to order a radiator cover off a Sedan to finish the job?

ive done it... u take off the front bumper, unscrew the black plastic grill / radiator cover from the u peice, unscrew the u peice from the bumper, then take the mesh, cut it to shape, then put it on the u peice with the little silver screws that were used to secure the black plastic grill / radiator cover to the u peice. the old grill and u peice are attached. u will not have a radiator cover when u are done but its not a big deal...

heres mine:

sorry for bad lighting, but u get the idea

When the U-shape grill is removed from the radiator cover (the grill base), there are no holes to attach it with screws to the stock 4 holes on the front bumper, does anyone know how to install this grill to the bumper after the mesh is added and the radiator cover is removed?

On the back of the u shape piece there should be screw holes where the radiator cover was attached to it. Just put the mesh there and screw it in than put the bumper back on. I just did this yesterday
