Just Got a spoiler from spoiler depot....pretty sweet
I know a lot of you want to add spoilers like me, but kind of cringed at the thought of either the cost or the concept of drilling holes in your car. I bought my spoiler from www.spoilerdepot.com and I thought the whole process was really great. The customer service was great, they delivered super quick, and the whole thing only cost me something like $210 painted and delivered. The best part may be that a boob like me installed it extremely easily. The 01 civic has little dimples under the trunk on each side that show exactly where you need to drill holes. Honestly, I think I could do it now in less than 30 minutes.
No, I don't work for these guys. They have a bunch of ads on ebay, so check back and forth to make sure you get the best price...seems like there is a small amount of leeway.
Go for it!! I love mine. No pictures...I am a technical non-wizard. Oh yeah, the thing is super light and made of ABS plastic so no need for different springs, etc

damn 1028, you're supposed to refrain from smilely and single worded posts. not to mention blank ones as well. no wonder why you're a platinum member
anyway, g8rh8r, so you got an OEM style spoiler? it's nice that the holes are marked by honda. makes everything easier that way

the factory spoiler and aftermarket spoilers that use the factory holes are easy to install
i had a little help with drilling, but that was because i didnt have a drill and was afraid to drill into a one week old car myself. the whole installation took maybe 45 minutes for the oem spoiler, and it was done at night, plus it took another 5-10 minutes to install the new trunk springs, which i did later. these spoilers are definitely an easy DIY project

I know what you mean about drilling holes in a brand new car. Yikes! If anyone ever does undertake this little project, download the directions from the site or some other place, and kind of combine the two sets of directions. The directions from the Spoiler Depot were really kind of generic. One more little hint...put masking tape over where the hole comes out on the top of the trunk. That way when you are drilling, the little drill fragments wont' scratch the paint.

dont forget to paint the holes. those buggers will rust out in no time with nothing to protect it from water. trust me water will find its way in there. I know of many people who's trunk have needed replacing after a couple years because of rust.
