R1 Front Mount Intake...
Has anyone seen this intake on a car before. You know, the one that wants to look like an intercooler. Here is a link to a pic. What do you guys think of it? Have you heard any numbers on the gains (if any)? Not just for our cars yet, but for any car. I have seen ads for these in all the mags for quite a while. I'm just curious...

yeah, they look cool....
They installed one on an older model civic on Horsepower TV or something...
but I guess you'd need to get a good grill to go in front of it, otherwise it would get a good pounding from rocks and other road debris. And what about rain? Even though there is a removable plexi cover, wouldn't the filter get pretty wet, and dirty?

anyone know where i can get blue silicone hosing and couplers for my intake like the one in the link
please post or pm me
thanx
as for that intake, when it first came out i found out real fast that it was rated as crap
some people said ricey cause it makes it look like you have a turbo
besides that one guy said it didn't have enough harnesses or something so it bounces around
and with the plexiglass there most believe that it would actually be blocking the air
that's just what i about read and heard
