ATTN: Turtle or other honda tech
ive heard different things from different people about whether the fog light kit is the same for the coupe and sedan. i ordered from handa-accessories.com and they sent me the sedan kit instead of the coupe kit. im trying to find out if anything other than the switch is different between the two. a local honda dealer said the kits were the same, but people on here have said that the wiring harnesses are different.
I'm not a honda tech but i can tell you that the wiring harnesses are different. Go into downloads, and take a look at the instructions for the coupe and the sedan. I haven't looked at in since i installed mine but i remember it being different.
edit: now i remember what was different. there is a wiring subharness that is supposed to come with the switch kit. on the 4-door the harness has to pass trough the fire wall.

the way i see it, the kit is the same. if you were to order a kit directly from honda, it would not come with a switch kit. you have to buy that seperately. the switch kit for a coup is just the switch, but the 4-door includes a switch and switch sub-harness.

that makes sense. thanks man
now another question.. which switch does the oem ashtray/lighter kit take? it seems to be a universal kit, so it must take one switch or the other

That's how my foglight switch looks like. I think the foglight switch you have will fit. Does it have a blue backing? It'll fit. Actually, it shouldn't matter if you got the sedan or the coupe switch. They should both fit.
I have not personally installed one of the fog light kits yet. I don't know if they are the same or not. You'd have to take someones word that has bought this kit and installed it. The switches and lights should be the same. The wirirng, as they same, may be different. I wouldn't think so, but they might be.

Diznavis,
Here it is! This is the fog light kit # that I installed in my 2002 ex cpe
Part# 08V31-S5D-100A - This is the one that has the "L" shaped pins on the harness that plugs to the switch that I told you about. The switch has a brown color in the back.
The switch number for the above kit is 08V31-S5P-110B
It still said on the box 4D.
Did HandA send you fog light kit # 08V31-S5D-102 and the switch has a blue color with part number 08V31-s5P110G?
If so, I dealt with Trevor Allen and he took care of it right away by sending the correct item and included a pre paid return label for the wrong item he shipped. Call him.
They only have the toll free number on the website. Do a search for
Carmichael Honda on the internet and get the number there.
Good luck! I installed mine last week and it looks good on the car.

Grey is right, that pic is from handa-accessories.com, i dont have one in my car, but i was thinking of putting one in to get the extra place to store stuff, and i think that area would look a little better with it. i dont think both switches would work, the sedan switch i have doesnt fit in the spot where the switch is supposed to go in my coupe, so it wouldnt make sense that both switches would fit the ashtray/lighter switch hole
